Please men have no agency in these matters any longer and we are not going to play the guessing game of “who versus whom,” to the individual that this might be acceptable. It is not really a man versus woman thing it is directly related to the inadequacies of our non-existent culture and the the superficiality of American hubris. I am a father, even grandfather, but alas I despair that the culture of the US is not lost-it never existed. A bubble of religious stupidity and zealotry a great tumbling misadventure of carnal desire and entertainment, buy, consume, breed, but no depth no thought nothing worthwhile. A country of deplorable innocents flinging themselves into addictive pleasures exploited by the fascistic wealthy with little forethought and genuine meaning or having an actual gravitas in the gift of existence by making one’s life have personal value in lieu of consumerist materialism and transactional relationships. This surreal existence is precisely why I am leaving the U.S. and embarking on a new life by moving to Europe.
