Mike DeWine is a Horse’s ASS
Mike DeWine, the current Governor of Ohio, has come under withering criticism for his handling of the recent tragedy in Palestine, Ohio. However, instead of taking accountability for his failures, he has resorted to the conservative playbook of deflecting attention and creating a culture war. In a recent move, he has launched an attack on teachers, creating a reading culture war in an attempt to divert attention from his shortcomings.
In addition to the tragedy at Palestine High School, Governor DeWine has also faced criticism for his handling of the recent train crash in Palestine, Ohio. On December 16, 2022, a freight train derailed in the town, causing extensive damage and disrupting traffic on nearby highways. Not to put too fine a point on it, but the recent train derailment on February 3, 2023 and the release of toxic gases into the air reflects an incredibly buffoonish effort on DeWine’s part, and I suspect the locals have finally had enough of his dissembling and his deference and paying homage to his corporate overlords.
The incident has raised questions about the Governor’s commitment to infrastructure and public safety. Some critics have suggested that the Governor has neglected important investments in transportation infrastructure, which may have contributed to the accident.
